Hazardous wastes are poisonous byproducts of manufacturing, farming, city septic systems, construction, automotive garages, laboratories, hospitals, and other industries. The waste may be liquid, solid, or sludge and contain chemicals, heavy metals, radiation, dangerous pathogens, or other toxins. Even households generate hazardous waste from items such as batteries, used computer equipment, and leftover paints or pesticides.
The waste can harm humans, animals, and plants if they encounter these toxins buried in the ground, in stream runoff, in groundwater that supplies drinking water, or in floodwaters, Some toxins, such as mercury, persist in the environment and accumulate. Humans or animals often absorb them when they eat fish or in use of water. Diseases have a connection between health and hazardous waste. Some studies have detected excesses of cancer and birth defect in residents exposed to hazardous waste. SO CY Benavides greed will change the lives of many resident here in Laredo TX and surrounding areas. In a couple of years from now the floodwater is going to runoff the steams of Rio Grande river and all the toxic will runoff through the Gulf of Mexico it would also have and enormous impact on all the agriculture industries. So he not only destroyed his friends and family members by brain washing them to lend them the property to construct Colombia bridge, but also led them to failure. He’s destroying all generation to come. We should unite and refuse the El pescadito dump and reduce, reuse, and recycle instead. Lets Keep our families health safe. And have a beautiful Laredo Clean and proud.

I believe there is no foreseeable need a/o benefit for a ‘Pescadito’ type of Land-fill to the people of Quad-City and Laredo.
    Please deny the permit.
    Thank you
