DUMP DEVELOPER ADMITS HE LIED ABOUT BRINGING COAL ASH TO LAREDO!

On May 7, CY Benavides made a two-hour appearance on a local Facebook Live show, telling lie after lie about his proposed Pescadito toxic dump.

He said almost no coal ash is sent to landfills, but admitted he’d take it and other toxic wastes.  He said his dump would only take the same type of trash as the city of Laredo, but the City is prohibited from accepting Class 1 industrial waste, and he isn’t. He said he had modified his application to take the dump out of the floodplain, yet Webb county says otherwise and will not grant him a construction permit.

Then, Benavides trashed the people of Laredo and specifically our state Senator Judith Zaffirini.
